This Privacy Policy describes how LawnGawd (a registered Texas Assumed Name of 1116 LLC) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit lawngawd.com or use any LawnGawd product (the “Services”). It applies to homeowners, lawn-care providers, and visitors to our marketing site.

1. Information we collect
A. Information you provide directly
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, and physical service address when you sign up as a homeowner or provider.
- Service details — properties, services performed or received, scheduled visits, photos, invoice notes.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications — messages to support and replies to invoices.
B. Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages, links, dates, IP address, browser type.
- Strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies.
C. Information from third parties
- Google OAuth (name, email, profile picture only — no Gmail / Drive / Calendar access).
- Payment processors (transaction status only).
2. How we use information
- Provide and improve the Services.
- Send transactional email (SendGrid) and SMS (Twilio) — invoices, reminders, password resets.
- Process payments via Stripe.
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, lawful requests).
- Protect the Services from fraud and abuse.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not train AI models on it.
3. How we share information
- Service providers: Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email, a Twilio company), Twilio (SMS), Render (hosting + database), Cloudflare (DNS, CDN), Google (sign-in, Workspace).
- The other party in your transaction — when a homeowner books a provider, we share contact + service-address info between them so the work can be performed.
- As required by law — valid legal process or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users and the public.
- In a business transition — if the Company is sold, merged, or transferred. We will notify you before that happens.
4. Your rights and choices
- Access or correct account info via your profile.
- Delete your account by emailing support@lawngawd.com (30-day deletion, with retention exceptions in Section 6).
- Opt out of marketing email — we don't send any currently.
- Opt out of SMS — reply
STOPto any message. - Request a copy of your data by emailing support@lawngawd.com.
California residents have additional CCPA rights; email us to exercise them.
5. Security
Encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for database backups, restricted server access, audit logs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care. We will notify you and the appropriate authorities of a breach as required by law.
6. Data retention
- Personal contact info: deleted within 30 days of account closure.
- Transaction records (invoices, payments, tax docs): retained 7 years per U.S. tax + accounting requirements.
- Anonymized usage statistics: retained indefinitely for product analytics.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Email support@lawngawd.com to request deletion.
8. International transfers
The Services are operated in the United States. If you access them from outside the U.S., you consent to processing in the U.S.
9. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Active users will be notified by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
